My first kayak:

Neris Valkure-1 Basic.  Single-seat folding kayak.

Manufactured in the Ukraine.

Supplied by:  Folding Concepts U.K.  Reading, Berks.  September 2016

Length:    4.0 metres  (13 ft. 1½ inches)

Beam:      700 mm      (27½ inches)

Weight:    21 kg  (46.3 lbs)

Paddles:   Main - TNP 2-piece alu. 240cm. long.  (was purchased as 225cm. long but discovered                                                                                               months later that it is 240cm. - but that length                                                                                             works fine.)
                 Spare - TNP Type 702.2  2-piece alu. 215cm. long.

Skin:

 One piece PVC hull and deck with rubbing strips bonded to hull. Includes two bow to stern inflatable sponsons, in integral protective sleeves,

Transverse frames:

Marine plywood.

Longitudinal framing and cockpit coaming:

Aluminium alloy tubular sections with special profile sections for coaming.

Marine plywood stem and sternposts.

Backpack:

A one bag system.  Skin, transverse frames, longitudinal framing, cockpit coamings, spray deck cover, waist skirt, inflatable seat and repair kit all fit into this bag - and I can even get a section of bottom boards, which I made, in there as well.














And then came:

Gumotex Twist N 1.  Single-seat inflatable kayak.
