Quiet Kayaking: 2026

Welcome to my blog.

September 2016.
After a 50 year break I have returned to paddling a kayak. As a teenager I paddled various skin-on-frame kayaks, until scuba-diving took over. Recently I felt the need to do a bit of quiet paddling, which is why, for my 70th. birthday, I bought myself a folding kayak ...... easy to store between the occasional outings and no need to car-top. So, don't expect accounts of thrilling adventures on this blog. Although my Neris kayak is capable of a lot more, I will only be doing quiet, relaxing paddling in good conditions.
Update July 2017.
In addition to my folding kayak I now have a lightweight inflatable one ....... for snatched opportunities for a fun paddle

Update July 2018.

Another inflatable kayak has been added to the collection ........ one for comfort paddling.
Update May 2022.
Neris Valkure-1 folding kayak returned to the Neris dealer in the U.K. - for resale on my behalf, or possible trade-in for something different.
Update March 2023.
Neris Smart-1 hybrid kayak received direct from the Neris Ukraine factory. The U.K. dealer had arranged a trade-in for my Valkure-1.
Update November 2023
Neris Smart-1 kayak has made the Gumotex Twist kayak rather redundant ........ now has a good home with family in the U.K.
